Task 1 - Generating Ideas Learning outcome (U21): Be able to generate ideas for an original media product based on a client brief. (P1&M1) I have been given a client brief that has asked me to create a pitch of ideas that i have about producing a new online and print based music magazine for the North London area, as there is a vibrant music scene developing in the area and people need to know about it. I have been asked to develop a proposal and create sample materials for my magazine ideas and to plan and deliver a pitch. I will need to understand the type of demographic and differed audiences in the North London area so i come up with the best possible type of magazine to suit different audiences specific needs. Task 2 - Create a proposal and pitch for a media product Learning outcome(U21): Be able to create a proposal and pitch for an original media product based on a given brief. (P2) Objective I am proposing to have a new unique and individual music magazine created to capture a certain target audience as I believe there is a gap in the market for my magazine idea. I am proposing to create a magazine about the music scene in north London as there are no current magazines like this one. Name of magazine and reason for choice I am going to call my magazine “NL Vibes” which stands for North London Vibes because it connotes what the magazine is about and where it will be based. I believe this shows the audience that this magazine is going to be based around the North London area. I chose to display the logo on a brick wall in North London because their are a lot of Grime artists who grew up in this area and perform their music there. Font Styles NL Vibes NL Vibes NL...

Task 3 : Planning and Preparing a Pitch Learning Outcome 2 (U21):  Be  able to create a proposal and pitch for an original media product based on a given brief.(P3&M2) The feedback that i was given is that i should: Talk about my USP and what makes me different from other similar products Talk about who might be my competition. Explain how my magazine will be distributed. I should read less off of the board so i face the audience so i am more enthusiastic about what i am pitching and so i will have eye contact with the examiner. I should explain my colour scheme to the examiner so he understands why i chose those colours and make him understand that its not random. From this feedback i can guess that the client will ask about: How i'm going to distribute my product online and by print copies. The colour scheme of the magazine and if i will have a secondary colour scheme so the magazine is different every month. How my customers are going to view m...

Task4- Presentation edited after feedback

Image
Task 4: Pitch your ideas Learning Outcome 3 (U21):   Be able to pitch ideas on a proposed media product and respond to questions.(P4&M3) I listened to the feedback that i was given and edited my presentation by deleting a lot of writing on my presentation and added visual images for the examiner to look at. I created a script to read off of so i didn't have to keep looking at the screen and so i faced the audience. I added a slide talking about my close competitor and i added my colour scheme along with my finished products so the examiner knew why i used those colours and i could explain what they represent.
